WHO WE ARE
Oaklands Wood Carving Club is a group of wood carving enthusiasts from across Southampton and the local area who meet together to work on individual wood carving projects.
We meet in Oasis Academy Lord's Hill on Monday evenings from 5:30pm until 8:30pm during school term time.
Our club provides a supportive environment for members to share their knowledge and skills with each other and to learn new techniques.

The approximate cost is £4.00 per session the first two sessions are free of charge. We normally like to receive payment by BACS per term.
OPEN TO ALL
Oaklands Wood Carving Club is open to anyone who has an interest in woodworking, regardless of their skill level.
We welcome beginners (But you must be 16 years old or above to comply with our insurance) who are just starting out, as well as experienced wood carvers who are looking to share their knowledge and learn from others.

We also have a number of tools which can be used at our sessions if you are just beginning.

We start your journey into wood carving with a 'Dolphin' (See Gallery page) which is the emblem of the club. We supply a blank cut out for you to form into your own Dolphin using the tools that the club can loan to you. This relatively short project will get you used to the hand tools that we use.

FRIENDLY COMMUNITY
At Oaklands Wood Carving Club, we pride ourselves on our friendly and welcoming community. Our members are passionate about wood carving and enjoy sharing their knowledge and experiences with others. Usually over a cup of tea or coffee and possibly a biscuit.
